| Testimonials If you want the VERY BEST PORTRAITS and someone special to capture your treasured family memories, you are in the right place! "Photography by Lois" is remarkable because Lois is such a great lady and oh so talented. She is a people person with a passion and flare for incredible photography. Fifteen years ago was the first time Lois invited us in to her studio and made us feel like her family. We did not know her before our oldest son's first 3 month portrait, but she made it seem like we were her favorite clients. From that first phone call, we not only received an appointment but also great advice about clothes, the infamous bare feet, and adorable portrait styles to fit our family and our home. Then, on the day of our photo shoots, we were always greeted at the door with a huge smile and a warm welcome. Lois is punctual and makes sure that she has one on one time just for you. You are never left waiting with babies getting hungry and off schedule, or with kids who become tired and hard to please. Next, you are led in front of her cameras where she has sometimes taken so many shots, we have wondered if she has mistaken us for immediate family. At other studios you pay a higher fee for a certain number of proofs. When the photographer reaches that number you are done. Not Lois! She will keep taking pictures until you both agree that she has captured the essence of your perfect portrait. Once your proofs are ready, Lois always chooses a couple of her favorites out of the bunch to show you first. They are usually the ones we wind up settling on, because she has taken so many great shots we cannot choose. As the years have gone by, we marvel at how Lois gets smiles from our kids by calling each of them by name, and remembering little details of their lives, like shouting out the number of goals they scored in hockey this season, or whispering the name of a cute girl they mentioned earlier. She always manages to bring out their best. If they could tell you they would say Lois is the bomb! More recently, we moved more than an hour away from Lois, but we would not think of trying to test anyone else's patience by asking them to photograph us in garden settings, waterfront settings, and even chase us with a camera while we went hot air ballooning. Lois has done it all for us without batting an eye. Soon we will be doing our high school graduation pictures for our previously 3 month old baby. We have lost the time but not the memories because we have our portraits. One last family portrait on the beach at sunset before the kids all start off for college and our collection will be complete. Then we might have a lull in the action until we come knocking on her door with the grandkids. Lois has created such treasures for our family that we have an unusual family motto.
